Angel Fierro
Managing Partner
Angel is a Founder and Managing Partner of Aiga Capital Partners where he actively invests growth capital in support of sustainable infrastructure developers. Previously, he was Managing Partner at PLEXUS Solutions where he advised renewable energy companies and was formerly a board observer of AMP Energy. Prior to PLEXUS, he was head of corporate and structured finance at Sungevity, Inc., a residential solar installer. During his ten months at Sungevity, Angel raised approximately $70mm in multiple corporate and asset financings and also led the process to sell the company. Prior to Sungevity, Angel developed a $2.8bn natural gas to methanol plant with CO2 recapture where he led the commercial and financing activities. While at SLM, Angel raised over $250mm in development equity, $500mm in construction equity and structured and negotiated a $4.5+bn methanol offtake contract. Angel was also an investment banker for more than 17 years for Citigroup, Credit Suisse, BNP Paribas, and head of alternative energy for Seaport Global Securities. As an energy investment banker his focus was on the renewable energy asset classes: solar, wind, gas, hydro, biomass but also the fuels asset classes: oil and gas, biofuels sectors. Angel sits on the Board of the Piedmont Education Foundation and is responsible for managing the approximately $9mm endowment. Angel received his BS in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Stanford University.
